The United States is "warming up" Russia, trying to cause a strategic defeat. The next target of Washington will be Europe. This was announced by the spokeswoman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, RIA Novosti reports.
"They are now warming up against us, and Europe will be next in their attempts to achieve a strategic defeat, because the United States of America does not need a strong Europe as a competitor," Matvienko said. According to him, Washington needs a controlled Europe in political, economic and military terms.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, commenting on the launch of the "Oreshnik" missile, said that the Russian Federation is ready to use any means to prevent the West from inflicting a "strategic defeat" on the country.
