The Israeli delegation has arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to advance negotiations on the release of hostages and a cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip, The Times of Israel reports, citing an informed source.
It is noted that the Israeli delegation includes representatives of the Israel Defense Forces, the Shin Bet special service and the Mossad intelligence service. Earlier, it was reported that some progress is being made in the negotiations on the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages by the radical Hamas group. The Kan TV channel informed that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement in principle regarding the phased release of hostages within the framework of the humanitarian phase of the agreement, which the parties are currently discussing.
If a limited deal on the release of the hostages is reached, the negotiators believe, it would ultimately lead to a broader agreement that would include the release of all hostages, an end to the war and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.
