The Bundestag expressed no confidence in Chancellor Olaf Scholz's government

In the extraordinary session held on December 16, the Bundestag expressed no confidence in the government. 394 deputies voted in favor of dissolving the parliament and holding new elections, 207 supported Sholtz's cabinet, and 116 abstained. A minimum of 367 votes was required for a vote of no confidenceDW.

Thus, 394 deputies voted in favor of dissolving the government and holding new elections, which, according to all, will be held on February 23 next year.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier must approve the relevant decision within three weeks.
