The night before, another anti-government protest began near the Georgian Parliament building and continued throughout the night. This is the fourth day of protest in a row, with protests lasting until dawn and ending with a dispersal by riot police. A new wave of protests began in Georgia on November 28. The reason was a statement by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who said that the ruling Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia party had decided not to include the issue of negotiations on accession to the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028 and to refuse all budget grants from the community. According to the head of government, the reasons for this were constant blackmail from the EU regarding the start of a dialogue on joining it, demands to repeal a number of laws adopted by parliament and calls to impose sanctions against the Georgian authorities
