17 passengers of a yacht that sank in Egypt are missing


28 people were rescued from the Sea Story cruise ship that sank off the coast of the Red Sea city of Marsa Alam in Egypt. At the moment, 17 more people are considered missing and the search for them continues. Governor Amr Hanafi said this, Life.ru reports.

"Red Sea Governor Amr Hanafi announced that 28 people have now been successfully rescued from the sinking of the Sea Story yacht off the coast of Marsa Alam, and the search for the 17 missing continues," the provincial government said in a statement.

As we reported, a yacht carrying more than 30 tourists sank in the Red Sea near the coast of Marsa Alam, Egypt. At 05:30 local time (07:30 Yerevan time) on November 25, a report was received about the sinking of the Sea Story tourist yacht north of Marsa Alam. It is reported that there were 31 tourists from different countries and 14 crew members on board.

The search continues.
