Yerkir.am:published an article about the unprecedented situation in the "Erebun" historical-archaeological reserve-museum.
We announced that this institution of strategic importance and wide international recognition, which can be said to be one of Armenia's business cards, has not had a director, deputy director, or even a director or acting deputy directors. In short, there was total powerlessness in the reserve-museum. Our sources at the municipality said that the announcement caused a serious stir in the municipality, so they decided to appoint an acting director as soon as possible in order to create an external veil that "dawns are peaceful" in the mentioned institution and everything is allegedly going on as usual.
On November 14, Tsovinar Khachatryan, head of the reserve-museum's Karmir Blur branch, contacted us and informed us that the reserve-museum already has a new manager, and the branches are working normally. Thus, on November 14, Anahit Teluntsi, the chief treasurer of the museum, was appointed by the municipality as a temporary administrator of the reserve-museum. The latter is a meritorious woman, she has worked for many years in the specific field assigned to her, but she has no experience in administrative work, museum development plan, etc.
He was offered to be the director's assistant, and he had to agree. And all this just so that the relevant department of the municipality can get rid of unnecessary noise and embarrassment in front of the mayor, and the employees of the museum can get a salary.
Moreover, if no one from the management signed, and the state of homelessness continued, not only would they not receive a salary, but the museum would not even have heating.
Yerkir.am also had a short conversation at the "Erebuni" historical and archaeological reserve-museum at the newly designated address. With Anahit Telunts. - Mrs. Telunts, we congratulate you. on the occasion of appointment. - Thank you. - On what day were you appointed to the post of Tinoreni? - On November 14. - It was announced that the institution did not receive job offers. - We have already received, on the same day, November 14, we have also paid the utilities of the museum, that is, all these issues have been settled. - Mrs. Telunts, are you going to apply and participate in the competition? - No, no. - You are a well-known, distinguished fund manager, and the position of director implies heavy administrative work. - It's very hard, I know. - Then why did you decide to become a police officer?
- According to the order, if we do not have a director-deputy director, for example, it happened that the director-deputy director was absent from the country, the duties are placed on the chief fundkeeper. The regularity is like that, it's not a matter of will, the order is like that until there is a competition, and the municipality, as superior, appoints a temporary one or announces a competition. - It is clear, but what are your plans for the development of the "Erebun" historical-archaeological reserve-museum?
- I don't have any plans yet, because the problem is our exhibition, which is assembled, we are facing renovations, and the municipality knows that, there must be renovations, to have a new exhibition, or else we have the museum temporarily with a semi-exhibition, and that's how much it works. We don't have a plan, the plan is only to restore, repair and operate the display with the tender.
- Mrs. Telunts, do you accept Urartu as Armenian heritage? - Yes, absolutely. - And the connection between Erebuni and Yerevan, which seems to be in doubt? - I fully accept. I am also a native of Erebun and Erebun Hill is next to my apartment (smiles). - Thank you, we wish you success in your new job and at this stage.
- Thank you. p.c. I wonder if Mayor Tigran Avinyan is aware that the Department of Culture and Tourism subordinate to him, to which the "Erebun" historical-archeological reserve-museum is subject, what kind of "mess" he has created there, an institution that is the passport of Yerevan, where Yerevan is kept , as the unique evidence of being a city older than Rome, the cuneiform inscription of King Argisht, and on which Tigran Avinyan himself proudly put his hand and swore. Moreover, did the mayor ask why "Erebuni" got stuck in that swamp?
