"How was the selection of the candidate made, because Mr. Mesropyan, if I'm not mistaken, is a relative of Sasun Mikayelyan. Did it play a decisive role in making that election?" Agnesa Khamoyan, deputy of the "Hayastan" faction, addressed the Minister of Economic and Social Affairs Gnel Sanosyan at the NA session, during the discussion of the candidacy of Mesrop Mesropyan nominated by the RA government for the position of the chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.
"Will this not interfere with his activity as the head of the independent body?" asked Khamoyan.
In response to Khamoyan's question, Sanosyan noted that Mesropyan has been a party member for only 1.5 years.
"Mr. Mesropyan was political until now, now he is apolitical, party activities are frozen"
According to Sanosyan, Mesropyan worked in the field from 2000 until today, except for a few months of working as a governor, and a few days ago he left the CP party, because party activities are incompatible with the position of the committee chairman.
