Athletes who have won the ranking of the Olympic Games will receive a monthly allowance of 1 million drams


At today's meeting of the executive, a decision was made to set the monthly sports allowance of 1 million drams instead of 300,000 drams for athletes who have qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The decision will take effect on June 1, 2024. This is reported by the KGSMSN. Currently, the monthly sports allowance fund for 11 athletes who have achieved Olympic status is 5 million drams, including taxes and fees. From June 1, the state fund intended for the payment of allowances of the mentioned athletes will amount to 13 million 750 thousand drams. The program will continue until the end of the Olympic Games. The amount needed for three months will be 26 million 250 thousand AMD. At the same time, taking into account the fact that the ranking tournaments are still in progress, those athletes who will get a ticket for Paris-2024 will receive the increased allowance from the month after winning the ticket. Paris Athletes who do not have a rating for participation in the 2024 Olympic Games and are beneficiaries of the allowance, the allowance is provided until the 1st of the month following the date of the end of the rating tournaments of the given sports, if they do not obtain a rating. Let us remind, in order to participate in the Olympic rating tournaments as part of the preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris Games, world and European championships winners, prize winners, as well as athletes who took 4-8th place in the Olympic Games, world championships and the coaches, doctors and masseurs of the Armenian national teams of sports included in the program of the Olympic Games receive a sports allowance under the Government program.
