High-ranking US and Russian officials have held talks on the Ukrainian conflict this week, but have not been able to come to mutual understanding, US Secretary of State Marco Rubion said in an interview with Fox News.
"At the beginning of this week, we had a full conversation with them, not Putin, but with some high-ranking Russian officials, hoping to take some understanding about the next steps leading to peace," Rubion said.
He noted that no progress has been made as a result of the conversation.
