Congratulatory message of RA Shirak Marz Governor Mushegh Muradyan on the Day of Local Self-Government Bodies.
Dear compatriots, respected employees of local self-government bodies, I congratulate you on the Day of Local Self-Government Bodies. With 28 years of history, the local self-government system plays an extremely important role in the establishment and development of our statehood.
The system, as a pillar of the process of democratization of governance, after undergoing a series of changes, today has become more viable both in terms of the development of communities and ensuring the progress of the country.
Standing closer to the residents of the community, the local governments are a special force not only in raising community problems, but also in the way of reaching their solution. The stability of communities and the construction of a prosperous environment is one of the priorities of our Government.
Throughout the country, including in the communities of Shirak Marz, subsidy programs are being implemented effectively: roads, infrastructures, and community centers are being repaired. I am sure that the leaders of the communities of Shirak Marz will continue to carry out the functions that are aimed only at the well-being of the residents of the marz and the building of communities.
The most important prerequisite for the development of the local self-government system is the active participation of our citizens in decision-making and implementation. Congratulating again on the occasion of the Day of Local Self-Government Bodies, I wish the community leaders, councilors, and community servants of Shirak Marz success in their work, purposefulness, perseverance, our country and our Marz, continuous progress.
