Former RA State Revenue Committee, Vardan Harutyunyan's law firm writes:
"It is obviously unfounded and illegal criminal prosecution against former RA SRC President Vardan Harutyunyan. In the conditions of public and widely covered by "Norfolk KONSATING" LLC, at the same time, with untranslated and legal and legal force, it is inadmissible to initiate a new criminal proceedings with the already evaluated proof, and the detention of Vardan Harutyunyan. We especially emphasize that as a result of a large-scale and multilateral investigation into the events in 2018, there was a general case, based on the investigator, and the prosecutor had the decision to terminate the criminal case.
However, 7 years later, the same factual data and the same evidence are presented with a contrary commentary, violating the "principle of being judged again" (Non Bis in Idem). This is not only a gross violation of the basic principles of the right and a fair trial, but also defines the new, hazard bar of legalism, the consequences of which are dangerous for the entire legal system.
In these conditions, it could not be considered to be established in any way, the existence of a reasonable doubt. With these realities, the court could even have a "conclusion" that Vardan Harutyunyan could hinder the investigation in the case of seven years ago. This is not only impossible, but also legal absurdity. Seven years later, it is impossible to risk maintained or more growth to be the basis of which it would be possible to use the most painful precautionary measure.
We clearly note that this is not justice, but a deliberate and gross distortion of legal processes, whose only goal is to keep our client, Vardan Harutyunyan as long as possible. Vardan Harutyunyan has already expressed his opinion on the real goals of the mentioned public process, according to which the latter is "punished" for an honest, principled and direct position.
At the same time, we say that the court's decision is being prepared and a recent appeal will be submitted in the coming days. Additional impact on other developments in the case will be made.
