Today, August 30, an emergency occurred in Yerevan. At around 09:05, the 112 operational control center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alarm that the balcony of the 5th floor of the building at 10 Bagratunyats Avenue had collapsed and appeared on the 4th floor.
As reported byphotojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, one combat crew from each of the 3rd and 4th fire and rescue squads of the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service and rescuers from the Special Purpose Rescue Operations Center promptly arrived at the scene.
It was found out at the scene that the balcony of apartment No. 62 had collapsed and fallen onto the balcony of apartment No. 58, and rescuers lifted 2 citizens to apartment No. 62 using a motor ladder. They received first aid on the spot from the doctors of Yerevan 1-03 ambulance who arrived promptly, and then were taken to the "Erebuni" medical center.
According to G. Shamshyan, the injured are Yerevan residents, 20-year-old Ovsanna A. and 41-year-old Tatev S.
The operational group of the Shengavit department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police's Community Police Main Department, headed by the head of the department Artur Mkrtchyan, also arrived at the scene.
The patrols of the 1st Company of the 4th Battalion of the Yerevan City Regiment of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Patrol Service, led by the regiment commander Andranik Khachatryan and the battalion commander Davit Nikoghosyan, also arrived.
The area was demarcated by patrolmen of the same company, Davit Arakelyan and Henrik Abroyan.
Documents have been drawn up in the Shengavit Police Department on the facts of the incident, which may be transferred to the Shengavit Investigation Department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
