During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Shirak Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, apparent factual data were obtained that on June 20, 2025, K.G., together with a group of people, had an argument with V.K. in front of 1/1 Haghtanak Avenue in Gyumri, during which, as part of the group, using a weapon he was illegally carrying, he displayed disrespect towards the public, uttering sexual insults and obscene expressions. Then, during the argument, 2 to 3 shots were fired, as a result of which the normal operation of the public facility was disrupted and a feeling of fear arose among the employees of the food outlet.
In addition, K.G., together with a group of individuals, complementing each other's actions, used physical violence against V.K., namely, struck different parts of his body, causing physical pain.
During the preliminary investigation, by decision of the supervising prosecutor, a public criminal prosecution was initiated against K.G. under Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 (physical assault), Article 297, Part 3 (hooliganism) and Article 334, Part 1 (illegal carrying of weapons) of the Criminal Code, and against V.K. under Article 195, Part 1 (physical assault), Article 297, Part 3 (hooliganism) and Article 335, Part 1 (illegal trafficking of firearms).
On June 19, the wanted K.G. was presented to the Shirak Regional Investigation Department, and the next day, he was placed in custody as a preventive measure, which was later replaced by alternative preventive measures by a court decision.
The criminal proceedings against K.G. were sent to the supervising prosecutor with an indictment.
