Shamshyan.com, on July 28, officers of the Department of Combating Property Crimes of the Main Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia conducted a special operation, as a result of which they neutralized the perpetrators of house burglaries in Yerevan.
According to the source, on that day, the department received further operational information that 40-year-old Armen A., 35-year-old Artak A., 42-year-old Artur A. and 36-year-old Hrachya M., residents of Armavir region, had planned a burglary in Yerevan.
A special plan was developed on the spot, and once again, operational information revealed that the burglars headed from Azatutyan Avenue to Mashtots Avenue. On the spot, the criminal police and the patrols of the 2nd Battalion of the Yerevan Police Service, at the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Saryan Street, neutralized Arthur A., who was driving a "Hyundai Elantra" car, on suspicion of burglary.
A bag with a total weight of 2.14 grams stolen from the apartment of a resident of one of the buildings on Azatutyun Avenue was found near Armen A. in the Yerevan Criminal Police, in which stones resembling diamonds were found, and already in the hall of the "Hyundai Elantra" in the visible part, a polyethylene bag was found, in which there were valuables stolen from the said apartment.
On the fact of the incident, documents were drawn up in the Yerevan Criminal Police, which were transferred to the Arabkir investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, where criminal proceedings were initiated under the characteristics of "apartment burglary".
According to the source, Arthur, Armen, Artak A. are relatives of the suspects.
The law enforcement officers have serious doubts that this is not the only case of burglary committed by them.
The criminal police have also found out the identity of the owner of the robbed apartment in Azatutyan avenue, and the theft amounts to several million drams.
