Due to the confirmation of hot weather, Moscow transport has organized free distribution of drinking water for passengers. More than 3,000 bottles and glasses of water are planned to be distributed in transport infrastructure facilities on Sunday, "Коммерсантъ" reports.
Water is available at a number of metro stations, including Izmailovskaya, Fili, Bagrationovskaya, Kuntsevskaya, Filivsky Park, Studencheskaya, Kutuzovskaya, Pionerskaya, and Vikhino. In addition, there are distribution points at Severny Vorota, Centralny, Krasnogvardeysky, Salaryevo and Yuzhny Vorota bus stations.
Additional points were also organized for "Aeroexpress" passengers. water can be obtained on the express buses near the "Khovrino" metro station and on the routes in the direction of Domodedovo. Employees of the Central Suburban Passenger Transport Company and the Moscow-Tver Suburban Passenger Transport Company also joined the action. Passengers can use coolers with drinking water on electric ships.
The measures were taken against the backdrop of rising temperatures in the capital region. According to the forecast of meteorologists, the air will warm up to +29...+31 degrees during the day in Moscow, and up to +27...+32 degrees is expected in Near-Moscow.
Short rains and thunderstorms are possible in the second half of the day and in the evening. After the passage of the atmospheric front, the temperature can drop to +17...+19 degrees at night.
Earlier, Moscow transport had already used such measures during periods of intense heat. passengers were given water at metro stations, railway stations and bus stations.
