The fact writes:
The main problem of people holding high government positions is to cling to their positions. Talking about the current government system and the behavior of the ruling elite, the leader of the Pan-Armenian Front movement, Major-General Arshak Karapetyan, expressed this opinion in a conversation with "Past" newspaper.
He notes that such a development of the situation is due to the fact that the person who takes over the country's helm gets so stuck in that chair over time and creates so many interests that removing him later becomes an extremely difficult mission. The leader of the movement expressed confidence that the only logical way out of the current situation is a complete change of leadership, because the possible positive resource has already been exhausted in the last eight years. According to him, by laying asphalt in several places, it is not possible to cover up deep failures for a long time, especially when the society will directly feel the consequences of deepening economic problems in the near future.
Referring to the change in Armenia's foreign economic vector and the loss of traditional markets, the Major-General reminded of the danger of the gradual closing of the Russian market, which has been the main place of consumption of Armenian products for nearly 300 years.
He made it clear that this is not just a problem of border checkpoints, but a strategic loss. even if the borders are opened tomorrow, the Armenian product will no longer have a place in that market. Comparing the situation with a domestic example, our interlocutor noted that it is like taking one's own tomatoes and going to Komitas market to sell them, where, despite the lack of legal prohibition, the internal rules and reality are such that they simply will not allow free trade. According to him, the same mechanism also works at the state level, and due to the ignorant policy of the current authorities, as well as the superficial ideas of selling flowers on the European market, the state is heading towards economic collapse. As for the calls from the public and his future actions, Arshak Karapetyan said that although immediate and drastic steps are demanded of him, any serious political process must have a clear popular mandate and legal foundations. That's why the members of the "All-Armenian Front" movement are currently collecting signatures in the area adjacent to the Opera House with the demand to recognize the results of the last elections as invalid, which, according to him, will be the factual basis that will prove the awareness of the fact that the society has been deceived. According to Arshak Karapetyan, in case of such a development of events, the country is on the verge of destruction. According to him, the four neighbors of the region, under the direct leadership and permission of the superpowers, are already cutting our country on the map like a cake, and Armenia's interests simply do not exist in that geopolitical division.
