"Fact" daily writes:
The fact that Nikol Pashinyan, breaking the written and unwritten "rules of the game", entered into an intensive campaign long, long before the official start of the election campaign, has already been recorded by many. This, among others, attracts attention not only because it is a violation of the "rules of the game", the rules of fair electoral competition, but also because Pashinyan's pre-election self-praise is carried out mainly at the expense of taxpayers.
And a very interesting, somewhat comic picture is obtained. according to almost all polls, about 70 percent of the public (one can say taxpayers) reject Pashinyan. But Pashinyan spends most of the budget funds generated from the taxation of all taxpayers at least at this stage (though why only at this stage, before) to reproduce his disastrous power. Moreover, the direct responsibilities of the government and state institutions (repair of national and inter-community roads, repair of schools, kindergartens, provision of pensions, etc.) are tried to be "imposed" on the public as a great favor. In such a way that he seems to have found papal gold in the money and all this is done with his personal funds, not the state budget. At the same time, more and more alarms are being sounded that, especially in marzes, the government, through masked bureaucrats, "inventories" from door to door who has what needs or problems, in order to provide assistance to "the needy" at the expense of the state budget.
Well, of course, it is by no means an election bribe, what do you say? They pack it with the "sauce" that regional governments and community governments have always provided such support, it is part of their functions.
By the way, back to the subject of taxpayers and taxes. Pashinyan doesn't lose the opportunity to "shine" himself in front of the cameras with brilliant "judgments" from one to the other.
During the last session of the government, when the issue related to taxes was on the agenda, Pashinyan specifically announced. "...No matter how rich you are, you cannot have a separate Yerevan-Sevan highway for yourself. If many people say that they are rich, then let them build an airport for themselves and not use the airports of Armenia. Not to mention that if the government doesn't build those roads, your Bentleys will be a stop light."
It is worth reminding Pashinyan and his fascinated listeners that the state and the government exist for this very reason, to direct the funds of the state budget generated at the expense of the taxes paid by all of us to the implementation of necessary social and infrastructural projects. Including road construction, repair, etc. When Pashinyan talks about the government building roads, he seems to "forget" that he is able to do this at the expense of the taxes paid by all of us. Yes, also at the expense of taxes paid by wealthy, businessmen, entrepreneurs who have established businesses and provide thousands of jobs, entrepreneurs with large and small businesses. Also just at the expense of working and tax paying people.
It is not a favor that Pashinyan gives with his face. It is a duty, which, by the way, this government performs poorly, poorly and poorly, also with excessive costs.
According to the popular saying, the authorities did not bring the funds with which they make low-quality asphalt from "their own house", but from the state budget. Oh, and one more thing, they write themselves fabulous bonuses. And then, if every rich and wealthy person is going to build a road or an airport for himself, who needs you as a government? And again. Let's half-joke and half-seriously assume that some rich person decides that, no, the government wastes the taxes it pays, builds the road in poor quality, and decides that it will build a highway or a 20 km road with its own funds. In the next moment, you can have no doubt that Pashinyan will give orders to the National Security Service and the investigative and prosecutor's offices, and the person who wants to build a road on his own will be arrested with a national flag, they will start torturing him, and they will declare him an "election bribe".
And if it is more serious, then all this is really shameful, an unprecedented unequal competitive situation, a total abuse of administrative resources, state budget for the sake of maintaining one's own power. Will it help?
Hardly. Because the disasters and problems, destructions and losses caused in the past eight years simply cannot be forgotten by agricultural subsidies, by increasing the pension by 10 thousand drams or by paving a couple of low-quality roads. Well, even quality...
