Arman Tatoyan's "Wings of Unity" and Avetik Chalabyan's "HayaVote" yesterday announced the termination of cooperation, as we wrote weeks ago that due to intractable differences, the cooperation will soon be broken, and most likely, these units will not participate in the June 7 elections with a joint front.
Although the parties did not clearly clarify the reasons for the divorce in the joint statement, according to our sources, Chalabyan and Tatoyan did not find a common ground on the issue of the pre-election list formation. We were told that Chalabyan had great ambitions and claimed that every even number should be from his team, let's say Tatoyan is the first number, he is the second, the next one is the fourth, the sixth, and so on.
In other words, the list should have been formed in a 50/50 ratio, but Tatoyan did not give up on his ambitions either, considering that he will be the locomotive of political power and he should decide in what proportion the list should be formed.
In addition, Tatoyan's team made a statement regarding Artsakh, which upset Chalabyan and deepened the differences.
By the way, in yesterday's joint statement of the forces that signed a memorandum on February 27, the following is written about the reasons for breaking off cooperation: "In the past period, a great amount of work was done by the governing bodies and members of both organizations in order to develop a joint political program and form a new political pole.
At the same time, we have not yet managed to form a unified position on a number of key program issues, so we have made a decision to end the joint work in this format at the current stage.
