Ukraine and NATO plan to create a secure information transfer system

As part of their expanded cooperation, Ukraine and NATO plan to launch a closed information exchange system by the end of 2026. This was announced by Valery Vishnevsky, senior national representative of Ukraine at the NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center (JATEC).

"This is the creation of another tool that should firmly connect Ukraine and NATO. We are talking about the development of a secret information exchange system.

Currently, there is no such system between Ukraine and NATO," he said in an interview with "Ukrainform". Vishnevsky added that it is planned to launch a test project at the end of this year. According to him, with the launch of this system, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive a tool for instant, closed-loop data exchange with NATO structures. Vishnevsky also claims that by joining NATO's collective exercises, Ukraine is "effectively being included in collective security without being a member of the alliance."

This year, he added, Kiev also plans to participate in exercises intended only for NATO members.

"We are following the same path, through training and communication, that Sweden and Finland recently took before joining the alliance. When the window of opportunity to join the alliance opens, Ukraine should be 101% ready," Vishnevsky said.
