The delegations of Russia, the USA and Ukraine discussed security issues and the implementation of possible solutions in the negotiations to be held in Geneva. This was announced by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, after the two-day meeting.
"The political and military blocs worked as part of the delegation. We have discussed the security parameters and the implementation mechanisms of possible solutions.
Some issues have been clarified, while additional coordination is underway on others. This is a complex work that requires the agreement of all parties and time. There is progress, but the details are still missing," he told reporters.
The video of the briefing was posted on Umerov's Telegram channel. Umerov noted that the next step is to reach a consensus in order to present the solutions to the capitals. The negotiations between Russia, the USA and Ukraine took place in Geneva on February 17-18. The discussions of the second day lasted about two hours. The discussions were difficult, but practical, Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian delegation, said after the meeting.
He announced that the next meeting will take place soon.
