The global environment has entered a period of high volatility and uncertainty, which is perhaps the most turbulent period in modern history, Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar said.
"The established world order is clearly changing. Creating new forms of order is difficult, and it seems we are moving into a long twilight zone," he said during a speech at the Global Economic Cooperation Forum in Mumbai.
Jaishankar noted that the international system is undergoing profound changes, and the world is witnessing the militarization of production and finance, the strategic use of market access, and the tightening of export controls.
