French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that the crisis around Greenland is not over yet, the Financial Times reports.
"Macron noted that the latest crisis over Greenland, during which US President Donald Trump threatened to impose punitive tariffs on European countries opposing his attempts to gain control of the vast Arctic island from Denmark, is not over yet," the publication said.
Greenland is a territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. However, the US president has repeatedly stated that the island should become part of the United States. Authorities in Denmark and Greenland have issued warnings
Washington about the inadmissibility of occupying the island, stressing that they expect respect for their territorial integrity.
