Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov spoke about the plans of US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump to “decouple” Russia and China.
“It is not clear why there is a need to separate, why there is a need to interfere with cooperation between Russia and China,” Peskov noted. The Kremlin representative emphasized that cooperation between the two countries has a special, privileged nature of strategic partnership.
“But the main feature of our cooperation with China is that it is not directed against third countries, it is aimed exclusively at the interests of the peoples of our two countries. This is the main thing,” Peskov noted. Earlier, Trump, in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson, announced his intention to “separate” Russia and China if he wins the presidential election.
