The Iranian Parliament recognized the armed forces of the EU countries as terrorists

Iran has recognized the armed forces of the European Union countries as terrorist organizations in response to the similar decision of the EU regarding the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.

"According to Article 7 of the Law on Retaliatory Actions, in response to declaring the IRGC a terrorist organization, the armed forces of European countries are considered terrorist groups, and the consequences of these actions will fall on the EU," Ghalibaf was quoted as saying by Iranian agencies.

The issue of possible deportation of military attachés of European embassies is also being discussed in the Iranian parliament.

On January 29, the EU Foreign Affairs Council recognized Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, accusing the IRGC of brutality against protesters.
