Republican Joe Wilson, a member of the US House of Representatives and chairman of the Helsinki Commission, criticized the administration of President Joe Biden for its position on the parliamentary elections in Georgia.
Congressman Wilson is a co-author of the MEGOBARI Act, which was initiated in the US Congress even before the parliamentary elections in Georgia and provides for sanctions against the government of the Georgian Dream due to the so-called “foreign agents” law.
“It’s disgraceful that the Biden-Harris Administration is legitimizing “Georgian Dream’s authoritarian power grab” in a country yearning for freedom,” Wilson wrote today, October 29, on social media X.
