From November 11 to 22, the prestigious UN climate change conference COP29 will take place in Baku. We learn about this from the Facebook page of the Supreme Body of Armenia. Azerbaijan, which recorded the worst indicators of human rights and freedoms and is considered an oil dictatorship, carried out ethnic cleansing in Artsakh just one year ago, forcibly deporting 120,000 Artsakh Armenians.
In the occupied territories, Azerbaijan continues the destruction of the Armenian traces, the cultural genocide. Dozens of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians, including the military-political leadership of Artsakh, continue to remain hostages in Baku prisons. There can be no climate justice without human justice and protection of human rights.
Holding the forum in a dictatorial country will give Azerbaijan the opportunity to clean the bloody hands of the genocide and edit the regime's rating. We demand the international delegates participating in the conference to put pressure on the official Baku by releasing all the Armenian prisoners held illegally in prisons and the military and political leadership of Artsakh held hostage. With this demand, a protest action will be held on November 1, at 14:00, which will start in front of the UN office, after which the march of participants will move to the RA Foreign Ministry and the embassies of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries operating in RA.
