"The director of the theater named after Sundukyan submitted a report to the police, alleging that there was an illegal invasion, self-righteousness, but the police, having investigated everything, did not proceed. In other words, they did not find that we committed an illegality, we have no right to be here at this moment.
We came to make a general statement: we will stay here, we will continue our action, of course, under the control of the police, because it is state property, it is a state building, until there is a concrete answer from the prosecutor's office, the court system, the case is being processed, there is movement.
Otherwise, we are not able to fight either, we are trying to advance our rights through the court.
It is possible that there will be a meeting tomorrow to resolve the issue. We are fighting for creativity, justice, purity."
Let's remind: by the decision of the government, "Goi" theater merged with G. to the National Academic Theater named after Sundukyan, but the actors and creative staff of the "Goi" theater are against that unification, they want to act as a separate theater, they do not want to go and work in the Academic Theater named after Sundukyan.
They are contesting the government's decision regarding the unification in the court. The door of the theater has been closed since the end of March and the actors cannot enter and rehearse.
