"Spartak" stadium will not be returned to the state. the buyer was also declared bankrupt. "trace"

"trace"writes:

"Spartak, Yerevan's first stadium, sold in dubious transactions, will not be returned to the state. For about 2 years, the General Prosecutor's Office has been trying to dispute the stadium privatization decisions and the sale transaction. "Hetq" learned from the judicial information system that the Administrative Court did not accept the 2024 lawsuit of the Prosecutor's Office, and the Court of Appeal rejected the Prosecutor's complaint. The Court of Cassation did not accept the complaint of the Prosecutor's Office. As a result of the decisions made by three court instances, the stadium will not be returned to the state.

The stadium located at 6 Agatanghegos street with its buildings belonged to the "Armenia" sports NGO. "Hetk" wrote about the sale of "Spartak" and "Ashkhatank" sports complexes in 2024. The "Spartak" complex was bought by an acquaintance of the president of the "Hayastan" sports NGO, through the "Eco Petrol" LLC created by his son, at a price many times lower than the market price. The complex was sold for 5 billion 20 million drams, but the buyer must pay the amount to the NGO by 2028, without a specific schedule. After acquiring the complex, "Eco Petrol" LLC mortgaged it to "Evokabank" again, this time for a $4 million loan. It is noteworthy that the complex was sold not at the market value, but at a price lower than the cadastral value. The cadastral value of the property at 6 Agatanghegos Street is AMD 6 billion. Meanwhile, the complex was sold for 5 billion drams.

There are two criminal proceedings in the case of expropriation of "Spartak" and "Ashkhatank" sports complexes belonging to "Hayastan" sports non-governmental organization. One is investigated by the Investigative Committee, the other by the Anti-Corruption Committee. In both criminal proceedings, a criminal legal evaluation should be given to the actions of the head of the "Armenia" sports NGO. Article 277 of the Criminal Code stipulates responsibility for the use of the powers assigned to him by the manager of the organization or the influence caused by them to the detriment of the interests of that organization, which caused significant damage to the interests of the organization."
