Today, on October 24, a major car accident took place in Kotayk marz. Around 12:00, "Hyundai Sonata" and "Opel Astra" cars collided in front of "Shangri La" casino on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

The area was cordoned off by patrols and the reason they arrived so many times is because there was a traffic jam after the accident, but after the arrival of the patrols the traffic was restored.
While the patrols were working at the scene, an alarm was received from the hospital that one of the wounded died without regaining consciousness.
The information about the accident was transferred from the Kotayk marz battalion of the RA Investigative Committee to the Abovyan investigative department of the Kotayk marz investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee, from where the investigative team arrived, led by the investigator on duty for the day.
In connection with the accident, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the investigation department, where the identity of the drivers, the deceased and the injured were determined.
On the instructions of the investigator, the cars were moved to a special area guarded by the Kotayk police department.
