US President Donald Trump has announced that the construction of a grand ballroom has begun in the White House complex in Washington.
"I am happy to announce that the construction of a new, large and beautiful ballroom has begun on the territory of the White House. The East Wing, which is completely separate from the White House, is being completely renovated as part of this process and will be even more beautiful when it's finished,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He emphasized that these works will not require financing from the American budget, as the construction will be financed by private investments of individuals, companies and Trump himself.
"For more than 150 years, every US president has dreamed of having a White House ballroom to hold state receptions, state visits, etc. I consider it an honor to be the first president to finally implement this much-needed project," Trump added.
