Vivo unveils new X300 Pro camera phone with a cool 200-megapixel camera

Vivo has announced a new flagship smartphone lineup that includes the X300 and X300 Pro. Both devices are powered by the recently introduced MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and have significant improvements over the previous generation, according to GSMArena.

The flagship X300 Pro features an improved triple camera system developed in collaboration with Zeiss. The main camera is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches with f/1.57 aperture and optical image stabilization. It is complemented by a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle module and a new 200-megapixel telephoto lens using a Samsung HPB sensor (1/1.4-inch). The front camera also has a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor.

The underpinnings are enhanced by Vivo's own V3+ image processing chip, supported by up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Power is provided by a 6,510mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

The X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1260 x 2800 resolution, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The device weighs 226 grams, has a thickness of 7.99 mm and meets IP68/IP69 protection standards.

The basic X300 model also runs on Dimensity 9500 and features more compact dimensions. It has a 6.31-inch 8T LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1216 x 2640 pixels. It has a 6,040mAh battery and supports the same charging speeds of 90W wired and 40W wireless.

The X300's camera system includes a 200-megapixel main camera (Samsung HPB sensor with f/1.68 aperture), a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-602 APO telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The selfie camera is also 50 megapixels.

Thanks to its reduced dimensions, the X300 weighs 190 grams and is 7.95 mm thick, and also has IP68/IP69 protection.

Both models run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 operating system and have dual stereo speakers.

Vivo has set a starting price of X300 Pro at 5,300 yuan (roughly Rs. 60,000 at the exchange rate as of October 13, 2025) for the 12GB/256GB variant. The price of the base model X300 starts at 4,400 yuan (roughly 50,000 rubles) for the 12GB/256GB configuration.
