The British newspaper The Sun reported on Sunday that the British authorities have been misleading a record number of prisoners in March 2024.

According to the Ministry, 262 people were fired last year. This is 128% more than 2023-2024. Some prisoners were mistakenly released on a parole's program, while others were released due to bureaucratic inaccuracies. After the publication of these statistics, the Ministry of Justice announced the creation of a special commission to address the situation.

In August, The Daily Mail reported that from September 2024 to March 2025, about 26,500 detainees were released to relieve pressure on the British prison system.
