The West has sounded the alarm over the BRICS summit

The BRICS summit in Kazan proved that the Russian Federation has become the informal leader of the Global South. "Pictures from Kazan confirm that Russia is not the outcast that dreamers would like to see it. Let's admit that Putin's Russia has very successfully managed to take on the role of the informal leader of the Global South,” the author of the publication shared his point of view. The article talks about the fact that most African, Asian and Latin American countries, as well as some Western progressives, sided with Moscow. According to an observer of the Czech publication, the BRICS summit in Kazan was the first such large-scale event since the beginning of a special military operation, and it attracted many more countries than liberal democrats would like. "The West itself should think about why the summit is for so many countries close to the traditional West BRICS in Russia is such an attractive event,” the journalist concluded. Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Andrzej Shejna said on TVP Info that Warsaw fears breakthrough economic agreements at the BRICS summit in Kazan. One of the decisions that can be made within the framework of the meeting of BRICS leaders may be the creation of a new mechanism that will allow mutual settlements to be made bypassing the West, a representative of the Polish diplomatic department shared his point of view. Leading world media on October 22 paid special attention to the holding of the BRICS summit in Kazan. In particular, they saw in the event a confirmation of the absence of isolation of the Russian Federation and a challenge to the hegemony of the West, and also called BRICS a prosperous association that promotes new energy and prospects.
