At this meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei, appreciating the sympathy expressed by the Prime Minister of Armenia, pointed out the historical-geographic commonalities and common interests of Iran and Armenia.
"The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to expand relations with Armenia should. continue under Mr. Mokhbar's leadership," he said.
The leader of the Islamic Revolution, referring to the Armenian Prime Minister's emphasis on the strategic nature of the relations between the two countries, added: that the relations between Iran and Armenia have adversaries, and based on this, issues related to the two countries should be carefully implemented. In turn, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said: "We were shocked to hear the news of the death of Iran's president and foreign minister and his entourage in a plane crash, but as you said, we are confident that under your guidance and leadership, Iran's operations will not be affected."
