For the first time, Denmark plans to acquire accurate long-range weapons to curb outward threats, said Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredericksen.
"Russia will be a threat to Denmark for many years. We must be able to prevent attacks on Denmark and NATO. The government has ruled that Denmark will develop military force for the first time with far-reaching, accurate governed weapons, which can neutralize the enemy's threat. "
According to Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, Copenhagen is currently undergoing a historical modernization of Danish defense. He noted that the planned accurate number of new weapons, as well as the specific type has been decided yet.
