The European Union has not been able to persuade Turkey to suspend Russian natural resources after calling US President Donald Trump, NATO and EU countries, Politico reports.
Earlier, Trump said he was ready to impose tough sanctions against Moscow if NATO countries join the Washington's initiative and refuse to import Russian oil.
"Brussels can do little, to force Turkey to make Turkey change its position," the newspaper writes.
