However, a new study allows you to link that seasonal trend to long-term climatic change.
Scientists emphasize that this process is similar to other well-known mechanisms, in which water causes movements along the cracks. Such phenomena are observed, such as a hydraulic breakthrough (frecl), geothermal projects and water on the ground. According to them, the current seismic activity is not a threat to the MONBLANY tunnel and surrounding settlements. However, such processes can also be processed in other mountainous areas, where glaciers are actively melting, including in the Himalaya. "
