The authorities of the Republic of South Africa intend to postpone joint military exercises with Russia and China, as their dates coincide with the dates of the G20 summit in Johannesburg, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

"Taking into account the actions related to the G20 presidency of the Republic of South Africa, the Ministry of Defense is taking steps between South Africa, Russia and China in November 2025.

The planned joint naval exercise is planned, "the press release reads.

The department noted that the postponement is necessary for the exercise to "not affect the other preparations for logistics, security and South Africa, G20." The G20 summit will take place in Johannesburg on November 22 and 23.
