The National Assembly discussed a number of legislative initiatives in the second reading


At the session of May 21, the Parliament discussed legislative initiatives in the second reading. The legislative package providing for changes in the laws "On Public Service", "On Notification of Implementation of Activity" and "On State Duty" was presented by RA Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan. The initiative stipulates that trustees can be individual entrepreneurs or commercial organizations. The main changes are here. According to the reporter, no proposals were submitted after the first reading. The deputies also discussed making amendments and additions to the law "On the Audit Chamber" authored by Arusyak Manavazyan, Narek Grigoryan and Edgar Hakobyan. on" and the set of attached legislative projects. The initiative aims to increase the quality of information presented to the public and the National Assembly regarding the principles of legality and efficiency in the field of public finance and ownership, to clarify the legal status of the Audit Chamber, the objectives and guarantees of its activities, to improve the organization of the Chamber's activities, to expand and clarify the structure mandate. According to Arusyak Manavazyan, 4 proposals were presented after the first reading. It is planned to give an opportunity to private sector auditors who are members of the international group operating in RA and have international recognition to be involved in the audit. The next amendment stipulates that the Audit Chamber's function of verifying legal entities will not be extended to the tax benefits defined by RA law for an indefinite number of recipients. It is also stipulated that the Audit Chamber must prepare and submit to the Government its budgetary funding application for the coming year, the draft estimate. in accordance with the law "On the budget system of the Republic of Armenia".
