"Fact" daily writes:
At the global level, the world order that has been operating for several decades has begun to show cracks, as a result of which we are in the stage of a new arrangement of forces. Changes at the international level also affect regional processes. And it is not by chance that the regional forces covering the South Caucasus and adjacent areas have decided to form a platform for interaction in order to settle issues related to the region and strengthen economic ties. The activity of the "3+3" platform, which includes the 3 major regional heavyweights - Russia, Iran and Turkey, and the 3 small states of the South Caucasus - Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan - serves this very purpose, although the Georgian side continues to boycott meetings in this format. . Of course, it is important that Armenia is not left out of any platform of regional cooperation, but it is a subject of deep consideration what purpose "3+3" serves. Ankara is trying to use this format in order to become the main arbiter in the South Caucasus, especially since the last meeting of this platform format was in Istanbul. And this political line is pushed forward especially after the second Artsakh war, when the positions of Turkey in the region have been significantly strengthened. It is no coincidence that the author of the mentioned format is Turkey, and Erdogan has even spoken about it several times. It is noteworthy that Turkey has continuously tried to sneak into the South Caucasus for years, but it never succeeded. This was the reason for the regular criticisms from Turkey of the co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, considering that if Turkey does not participate in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, then it cannot justify itself. But now the situation is completely different, and new doors are constantly opening for Turkey, and no matter how strange it is, the Armenian side contributes to it. The Armenian authorities are taking steps to involve Turkey as the main mediator. It was Pashinyan who, through Georgia and other partners, requested a meeting with Erdogan so that the latter would use his influence for the settlement of Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations. And in this context, Turkey puts forward its preconditions to Armenia through Azerbaijan, stating that if Azerbaijan's demands are fulfilled and Armenian-Azerbaijani relations are regulated, then Armenia-Turkey relations will be regulated automatically. In fact, the RA authorities resort to any measures to please the Turkish side. They are pursuing a policy of putting aside the value system related to our history and the issue of compensation for the Armenian Genocide. They even allow Turkey to assume a dominant position. On October 18, a separate meeting between Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeihun Bayramov took place within the "3+3" regional consultation platform in Istanbul. With that, it seems, the importance of the Turkish platform was emphasized, despite the fact that the meeting was in a bilateral format. It is no coincidence that at the meeting with the foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan, Erdogan announced that Ankara will continue to support efforts to ensure permanent peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Basically, in the conditions when Turkey gets a mediating role in the context of the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, it is certain that the Armenian side will not take advantage of it. Quite the opposite. But the current authorities of Armenia are not interested in that. They are only interested in one thing: what to do to stay in power longer.
