Zhaparov spoke about the future fate of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz authorities intend to continue paying attention to the issue of preserving the Russian language in the republic. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the republic Akilbek Zhaparov, writes TASS.

He made the relevant statement at the meeting with the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"In our constitution, the Russian language is given the status of an official language. We have always had and will have a special attentive attitude towards the Russian language," he said.

In turn, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadir Zhaparov recently noted that the country cannot refuse cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Speaking at the start of the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in the Russian Federation, he also noted that the peoples of Russia and Kyrgyzstan have always been open to interaction with each other.
