Turkey's reference to possible US-Iran nuclear talks

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that Washington's position on the resumption of possible talks on Iran's nuclear program has been transferred to Iran.

Fidan stated this in an interview with the Turkish "TRT Haber" state television after the BRICS summit in Brazil.

According to him, although the ceasefire regime is now maintained, there is still uncertainty in the resumption of nuclear talks.

Fidan also added that the issue was discussed with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghi, as he met with US Special Representative Steven Whitcoff.

"We hope that the issue will be settled through negotiations," he said.
