The death toll from a strong flood in the central part of Texas has reached 69, on June 6 reportedThe Guardian.

"Residents of the Central Texas have spent a day of prayer in memory of at least 69 people killed in the devastating floods and the missing people," the publication said.

The newspaper reports that at least 59 deaths have been confirmed in the central part of the state, many of whom are children, and more deaths have been reported in neighboring regions.
