In Germany, an increase in the activity of Russian special services is recorded

According to representatives of the security services, acts of sabotage carried out in Europe on behalf of the Russian Federation are aimed at preventing the West from supporting Ukraine.
German authorities are recording an increase in the activity of Russian intelligence services, as follows from an interview with the head of the German Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nancy Faeser, published in the business newspaper Handelsblatt on Monday, October 14. “We see that the Putin regime is becoming more and more aggressive,” she said in this regard. Later in the conversation, the minister noted, however, that Russian intelligence services were weakened in Germany due to the expulsion of a number of Russian agents from the country.
According to Feser, German security services "are using incredible resources to protect our country (Germany - Ed.) from the threat of Russian espionage, acts of sabotage and cyber attacks." Thus, several months ago, the German Ministry of Internal Affairs said, it was possible to prevent attacks in the country using explosives that were being prepared on Moscow’s instructions. The purpose of these attacks was to prevent Germany from providing military assistance to Ukraine, the Handelsblatt interlocutor clarified.
The interview was published at the beginning of the plenary session of the German Parliament - the Bundestag with the participation of the heads of the German intelligence services.
