Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky called Russia's territorial concessions "sharp" in a briefing after the summit initiated by the United Kingdom, RBK-Ukraine reports.
In his opinion, this is the truly trying to reach the Russian Federation.
"The United States has raised this issue in Jidia and has received the position of Ukraine," said the politician.
He stressed that Ukraine does not recognize the loss of territories that are already under Russia's control.
On March 14, the White House confirmed that the United States is discussing the status of these territories with both Moscow and Kiev. The US President's Adviser Valts said that the parties should compromise to achieve peace. US President Donald Trump noted that the control of the Zaporozh nuclear power plant is also part of the talks. An anonymous diplomat from the country claims that during the talks in Jida, the parties discussed only the issue of territorial integrity of the country, not territorial concessions. The new regions are already enshrined in the Russian Constitution, but Ukraine hopes to restore the territories through diplomacy.
