Pre-COP29 conference starts in Baku tomorrow

The UN Pre-Cop29 Conference of the Parties on Climate Change 2024 (Pre-Cop29) will be held in Baku on October 10-11. According to the Report, citing the organizers of the event, the conference is called “Strengthening Ambitions and Ensuring Action.”
The opening ceremony will be attended by COP29 President-designate Mukhtar Babaev, COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber, UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Jane Mohammed, UNFCCC Executive Secretary Simon Steele and Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) Chairman Nabil Munira.
Panel discussions will discuss ways to achieve a successful outcome of COP29. The event will last two days and will be held at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
