More than 70% of French people aged 18-24 are in favor of holding a migration referendum, only 68% of those under 35 want such a referendum to be held, according to the results of a poll by the CSA for Europe 1 radio station and a number of other media.
"Although the older generations are very involved,72% of French people aged 50-64 are in favor of holding a referendum. Thus, 73% of young people aged 18 to 24 want their views heard on the issue of migration. Overall, 68% of the population are in favor of a referendum.
Apart from the age criterion, the difference between men's and women's opinions can be distinguished.70% of women against 65% of men want the referendum.
Earlier, the head of the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bruno Retayo, in an effort to tighten the rules for the legalization of visitors to France and the expulsion of illegal immigrants from the territory of France, proposed holding a referendum on immigration issues.
