Belarus should be strong, vigilant and strengthen the state's defense capabilities, said the leader of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.
"We see how on the western borders of Belarus, instead of a neighborhood zone,our former allies in the anti-Hitler coalition are persistently drawing an arc of instability.
The conclusion is one: we must be strong, vigilant and strengthen the state's defense capacity as much as possible. This is what we do all the time," Belta agency quotes Lukashenko as saying.
Lukashenko emphasizedthat "the profession of homeland defense will be relevant and in demand for a long time, and people in uniform will be a reliable shield and the main guardians of peaceful work."
According to Lukashenko, there was a time when many thought that wars would remain in the past forever.
