The administration of US President Donald Trump is studying the possibility of concluding a large-scale agreement with China. It may include a deal in the field of nuclear security, writes The New York Times, citing sources.
According to the publication, Trump is interested in the deal.which will involve significant investment and force China to buy more goods from the US.
"He would like the agreement to also cover issues such as nuclear weapons security, which he said he plans to discuss with Chinese President Xi Jinping."- says the publication.
The previous US-China trade agreement was signed in 2020. As part of this deal, Beijing failed to meet its obligations to purchase $200 billion worth of additional goods and services from the states.
