China Foreign Minister Van calls on the international community to not forget the situation in the Gaza Strip, against the background of the efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. He made the relevant statement after the high-level UN Security Council session, which was dedicated to the implementation of multilateral reforms and improving global governance.
"All parties are currently concerned about the Ukrainian crisis, but there are not only the Ukrainian issue in the world, but many other hotspots such as the Gaza conflict, which are also required to be pushed into the background," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
Van also stressed that "more than 70 years have passed since the UN has adopted a resolution on the creation of two states, Palestine and Israel, but so far only half of that decision has been implemented."
"The state of Israel has long been formed, but the Palestinian people have no own country to this day," Van added.
